Action4Justice  in partnership with Clean Earth Gambia and the University of The Gambia Students’ Union held a climate seminar yesterday, 21st January at the University of the Gambia Auditorium. The theme for the event was “Building climate resilience: Role of youth in preventing land grabbing and building climate resilience in The Gambia.”

The event was able to bring stakeholders in the climate and environmental space to engage youths, NGOs and students on pressing environmental challenges in the country including Land grabbing, climate financing and climate education. During the interactive panel discussion, recommendations were provided on how we can better implement the environmental laws and regulations in the country to address the climate and environmental crises.  It also built on the momentum gained at COP 27 negotiations to address the priorities of young people in The Gambia on climate change as well as unpack the findings of the NDC review for young climate activists in The Gambia who need to be engaged meaningfully in the design and implementation of various national climate policies.
